Which spiritual or emotional season are you experiencing right now?

Just as we experience the changing natural seasons, we are also subject to changing experiential seasons in our life.

We can find great encouragement in identifying which season we are currently experiencing.

There is just something about knowing that we are not the only ones who are going (or have gone) through especially difficult times.

We also experience seasons of great joy and celebration.

One thing we can know for sure—no matter which season we are experiencing, it will change.

Life is not static.

The changing seasons of our lives are not haphazard but ordained to accomplish His purposes in our lives: “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven” (Eccl. 3:10 NKJV).

Although we generally prefer one season to another, there are pros and cons within each that bring a nice overall balance to our lives:

All important decision must be made on paper – stop looping thinking through what ifs and so forth

1. State the problem

  • On paper Write the Problem
  • But be clear What do you want and WHY and How will you know when you get it.

2. Get the advice and opinions of others

  • Seek information from online, read up on the topic
  • Ask family, friends based on the question as Coach, Doctor, Therapist,

3. List the alternatives

  • List Pro and Cons
  • Why you like each choice
  • What does your heart say ?

4. Choose the best alternative – with your beliefs and life what is the best choice

  • Remember decision are based on probability you cant wait for 100% – if it don’t work then learn from it and change!

5. ACT

  • Put the plan in place as you work the plan you can improve.

What are our beliefs?

A belief system is an ideology or set of principles that helps us to interpret our everyday life. These beliefs are shaped and influenced your life.

Stop Stinking thinking

  •  Positive mindset- it’s not just about being positive its finding the good in the bad
  • How is life happening for you – Life is happening for you not to you.
  • Mindset and our internal self-talk
  • You have to want to change, you have to want to see the good

Where to they come from?

  • Environment
  • Events – The birth of your child, promotion, a death of a loved one.
  • Knowledge
  • Past Results
  • Future Vision

How to Replace Limiting Beliefs with Empowering Ones

1. Pick a limiting belief and think about how that belief has held you back and worked against you.  Write it down!

2. How has this limiting belief hurt you? Think of some evidence that proves that the belief is false. Spend some time thinking about this until you know that your limiting belief was not based on reality or FACTS.

3. Replace your limiting or negative belief with an empowering and positive one.  You let go of your old limiting belief, admit that it was false and limiting you, and you start believing in your heart and in your mind that people are generally honest by nature.

4. Remind yourself of your new beliefs every day Several times a day. The more you consciously remind yourself of your new beliefs, think and feel them in your core, the faster you will be able to replace the old ones. The more you practice this, the sooner your subconscious mind will start inducing corresponding empowering thoughts, feelings and actions.

Our belief systems are powerful and affect almost everything we think, feel and do. When we make the time and effort to closely examine them, we are able to single out the ones that prevent us from living the life we deserve to live.

Is the Bible Real ?

THE BIBLE IS TRUE AND ACCURATE Part 1 of 2 Chuck Missler

THE BIBLE IS TRUE AND ACCURATE Part 2 of 2 Chuck Missler

Bible scholar and teacher Dr. Michael Heiser discusses the inerrancy of scripture and the inspiration of the Bible. He has a high view of scripture, which means he believes in 2 Timothy 3:16 which says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,”. Heiser explains that the Bible is not a science textbook and was never meant to explain the natural world. It was meant to reveal spiritual truths. He also explains that some of the laws of God in the Torah being found in the earlier Code of Hammurabi does not negate the inspiration of scripture. He also does a cursory look at the various inerrancy theories in theology. Factual or scientific inaccuracies in the Bible does not mean it is errant. The truths a passage is meant to convey is always inerrant and infallible.

10 Tips for healthy relationships

Healthy relationships have been shown to increase our happiness, improve health and reduce stress.

1. Keep expectations realistic. Accepting people as they are and not trying to change them.

2. Talk with each other.

3. Be flexible.

4. Take care of yourself

5. Be dependable.

6. Fight fair. Most relationships have some conflict. It only means you disagree about something; it does not have to mean you don’t like each other.

7. Be affirming

8. Keep your life balanced. Healthy relationships have room for outside activities.

9. It’s a process.

10. Be yourself!

Time

  • How do we waste time ?
  • How to improve our use of time?
  • Can you get time back ?
  • How we spend time?

I talk a little about Muda which means futility; uselessness; wastefulness
and is a key concept in lean process thinking.

Tool of Lean 8 Types of Wastes:
1) Unused human talent
2) Waiting
3) Inventory
4) Transportation
5) Defects
6) Motion
7) Over Production
8) Processing  of non-value added activities

How to Start Getting Organized
1) Sort
2) Set in order
3) Scrub
4) Safety
5) Standardize
6) Sustain Create a process to maintain order or Chaos will creep in

Chaos to Order takes energy

1. Create a time audit.

When it comes to time management, the first step you need to take is finding out where your time actually goes. You may believe that you only send 30 minutes on emails, but in reality that task is eating-up an hour of your day.

2. Set a time limit to each task.

I’ve found that setting a time limit to each task prevents me from getting distracted or procrastinating.

3. Use a to-do-list, but don’t abandon tasks.

All goals and projects are made up of smaller parts that need to be accomplished in order to achieve the goal, or complete the project.

“Aside from keeping you focused, this also motivates you as you are able to see what you have already achieved, and what remains.”

4. Plan ahead.

One of the worst things that you can do is wake-up without a plan for the day. Instead of focusing on what needs to be done.

That’s why you should always plan ahead using one of these options;

The night before. Before you leave work for the day, spend the last 15-minutes organizing your office and composing a list of your most important items for tomorrow.
First thing in the morning. During your morning routine write down the 3 or 4 most urgent and important matters that need to be addressed today and work on those when you’re most productive.

5. Spend your mornings on MITs.(Most Important Tasks)

Mark Twain once said, “If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And If it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.”

Gross? Sure. But, the point that Twain was making that you should take care your biggest and most-challenging tasks in the morning,

There are a couple reasons why this such an effective time management trick. For starters, you usually have the most amount of energy in the AM. So it’s better to tackle these tasks when you’re not drained. Also, you can use that feeling of accomplishment to get through the rest of the day.

6. Learn to delegate/outsource.

The thing is, delegating or outsourcing are real time-savers since it lessens your workload – which means you have more time to spend on more important tasks or doing less work. Either hand over responsibilities to team members who are qualified or hire an experienced freelancer. And, if you do decide to do in-house training, the initial investment will be worth-it in the end.

7. Rest is not a Waste

We often think Rest is waste but rest is not a Waster but a reset is critical for creativity, problem solving. see Ep 088  https://www.levelyourselfup.com/0882022health/

8. Leave a buffer-time between tasks and meetings.

Jumping immediately from one task or meeting to the next may seem like a good use of your time, but it actually has the opposite effect. We need time to clear our minds and recharge by going for a walk, meditating, or just daydreaming. After all, the human brain can only focus for about 90-minutes at a time.

Without that break it’s more difficult to stay focused and motivated. Scheduling buffer-time also can prevent running late to your next meeting. I find 30-minutes between tasks and meetings an ideal amount of buffer-time.

9. Get organized and single-task.

The average American spends 2.5 days each year looking for misplaced items.. Instead of wasting both your time and money, get organized.

Start by having a home for everything and making sure that items are put back where they belong. As the end of the day clean your workplace and create a document management system. And, start single-tasking. Most people cite multitasking as the main culprit for misplacing items.

10. Follow the 80-20 rule.

“The Pareto Principle also known as the 80-20 rule suggests that 80% of results come from 20% of the effort put in.  “When it comes to how you should manage your time this principle can also be applied. 80% of your results comes from 20% of your actions.”

You should start by looking “at your schedule or to-do-list every day. For the sake of simplicity try to get down five tasks you need to accomplish. Using the principle you can probably eliminate the majority of the items on your list. It may feel unnatural at first but overtime this will condition you to scale up effort on the most important tasks.”

11. Use an online calendar.

Calendars have long been a fundamental tool for time management. However, online calendars have taken this to the next level. That’s because you can access it from multiple devices, easily schedule meetings and appointments, set up reminders, create time blocks, and schedule recurring events.

12. Stop being perfect.

When you’re a perfectionist, nothing will ever be good enough. So, stop being perfect. It doesn’t exist. Do the best you can and move on.

LYSU 87 5 Things To Improve 2022

Set-backs and failures are part of life, and if you are an leader, how you handle set-backs and failures will determine your long-term success,

How we handle them can setup for success or failure.

Do we let them ruin the rest of the day or our plan

I say NO we adjust and adapt.

Health Its not just about diets but about Sleep, Breathing, Resting, Quality of Food, Drinking Water

Rest

Rest is one of the greatest gifts God gave to mankind. Rest is synonymous to peace. Naturally, we link rest with sleep.

But I think we should look at rest more like we of stop doing what we are doing AND start placing our trust in peace and love. to start BEING the person we are called to be to reset our being.

Like resting in God. It is placing trust and faith in him. In the work that’s He has already been done.

I think daily we should rest in our God to spend with him that can take forms in many ways.
Reading, Gardening, Walking, Sitting or however you find peace and tranquility. What about thinking how we can stop stressing and worrying ?
To learn to work each problem the best we can then once we have done that we stand trusting life will all work its self out or as we rest more will be revealed for us to do. But not worried or stressing

Breathing

To keep it short We often don’t breath like we should during covid I was taught we don’t breath correctly and they have me doing breathe exercises.
With a deep breaths in through your nose and blowing out slowly threw your mouth like blowing threw a straw do that 10 times.

The Wim Hof technique One round of the Wim Hof Method breathing technique includes these steps:

  1. Take in a strong inhalation through the nose.
  2. Let out a relaxed exhalation through the mouth.
  3. Repeat for 30 breaths.
  4. On the 30th breath, exhale to 90 percent and hold for as long as you can.
  5. When you feel your body really needs to take a breath, inhale fully and hold for 15 seconds before releasing.
  6. The basic technique involves three consecutive rounds of the above.

Eventually, the breathing may feel like a wave flowing through your lungs, but this will take practice.

Proponents say the technique can lead to:

  • increased immunity
  • better sleep
  • reduced stress
  • heightened focus

Water

Most of us don’t drink enough water and we are in a state dehydration we should drink around 1 gallon of water every day.

Signs of mild or moderate dehydration include:

  • Thirst
  • Dry or sticky mouth
  • Not peeing very much
  • Dark yellow pee
  • Dry, cool skin
  • Headache
  • Muscle cramps

Signs of severe dehydration include:

  • Not peeing or having very dark yellow pee
  • Very dry skin
  • Feeling dizzy
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Rapid breathing
  • Sunken eyes
  • Sleepiness, lack of energy, confusion or irritability
  • Fainting

We tend to think that dehydration looks like fainting, severe headaches, and being hooked up to an IV. But the truth is that the majority of us (more than 75% of adults!) are living with chronic mild dehydration, which means our bodies are being forced to operate with less fluid than they require.

A decrease in your hydration as little as 1-3% can result in a measurable cognitive loss and not only can it lead to the ailments listed above, it can also lead to more serious health concerns and disease.

Quality of Food

  • It is high in sugar and calories and low in nutrients and fiber. It can, over time, lead to insulin resistance, triglycerides, harmful cholesterol and other health issues.
  • Processed foods are very addictive because companies do research to see what tickles our taste buds the most. They incorporate it into their foods to encourage us to eat it more.
  • It contains artificial ingredients like preservatives and additives that are not nutritious and are harmful to health.

Sleep

6-8 hours of sleep is important we need all the sleeping cycles not just partial night sleep, while we sleep we heal, we lose weight, our body rebuilds it self.
Matthew Walker offers five key tips to help your future be filled with an easier sleeping process:

    • Try to maintain regularity. Go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning.
    • We need darkness in the evening to allow the release of a hormone called melatonin. Melatonin helps us maintain a healthy sleep time. Therefore, try to dim down half the lights in your home in the hour before bed.
    • Keep your sleeping environment as cool as possible. An optimal temperature is about 68 degrees Fahrenheit  Your brain and body need to drop their core temperature by about two or three degrees Fahrenheit to initiate good sleep. Hence, you’ll always find it easier to fall asleep in a room that’s too cold than too hot.
    • Avoid alcohol and caffeine. Alcohol is perhaps the most misunderstood drug when it comes to sleep. People believe it helps them fall asleep. That’s not true. Alcohol is a type of sedative, which means alcohol is basically just knocking your brain out. You’re not putting it into natural sleep. Research suggests that alcohol will fragment your sleep. So, you’ll wake up many more times throughout the night. Finally, alcohol also blocks dream sleep. Caffeine is also a problem. Many of us know that caffeine can keep us awake as it is a stimulant. However, few people know that even if you fall asleep fine and maybe you stay asleep after a coffee, the depth of your deep sleep will be lessened.
  • Do not stay in bed, awake. If you haven’t fallen asleep within 20 or so minutes, or you’ve woken up and you’re finding it difficult to fall back asleep, don’t stay in bed awake. Your brain quickly learns an association between your bed and being awake. Therefore, get up and go to another room.

“The shorter your sleep, the shorter your life. The leading causes of disease and death in developed nations—diseases that are crippling health-care systems, like heart disease, obesity, dementia, diabetes, and cancer—all have recognized causal links to a lack of sleep.” – Matthew Walker
